Comments on the toons
Please tell us what you think of our toons. Are they good, bad, indifferent? Funny. Not funny? How's the message?

I cannot speak for the others, but in the case of my own cartoons I try to make them funny most of the time (although other times my cartoons are intended more to make people think in some new terms regarding some Biblical truth.) Sometimes I simply try to poke fun at the attitudes people have about church. My hope is that in Church Mice people will see themselves, see where they are in relation to God, themselves and their particular church, and hopefully want to make a change for the better. Mostly what I'm trying to do is use this talent that God gave me in a way that points people towards Him.

My goal is also to make people laugh or at least smile with each toon. One thing I have learned over the years though is everyone has different perceptions of what is funny. Sometimes the toons I thought I would get a lot of good feedback didn't, and sometimes the toons I thought were lacking in humor returned a lot of good feedback.

My intention with my cartoons (Joyful toons) is not primarily to be funny, but hopefully to illustrate some point or principle that is taught in the Bible. But I do get a lot of feedback from readers who say the cartoons gave them a laugh, so you never know how your work is going to be received.

Hello from another angle,
Have you seen Bob West's cartooon "Our Father's Children"?
You have Theopholis here, but not this wonderfully drawn, illustrated and written series illustrating the Bible. Bob is doing such amazing work during his twilight years.
You can check it out here: http://www.theophilus.org/ofc/
Thanks!
